It happens regularly that patients in psychiatric care hear voices. But in this case it was about music. The elderly woman had been listening to songs for five months: sometimes Christmas music, sometimes folk songs or National Socialist songs that she knew from her youth. The music was particularly loud in the evenings and at night. She had already called the police twice because she suspected “insolent” neighbors were behind the noise. One day, when the music started again, her grandson was visiting. Only he didn’t hear what she heard and he was worried. He brought his grandma to us.
