Taylor Swift Defends Lady Gaga Against Pregnancy Speculation
Taylor Swift recently came to the defense of Lady Gaga after online commenters began speculating about Gaga’s pregnancy. Swift, 34, criticized the invasive and irresponsible behavior of those making unwarranted comments about a woman’s body. She made her thoughts known under a video of Lady Gaga addressing the rumors while at the gym, stating that Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.
The pregnancy rumors surrounding Lady Gaga started circulating after she attended her sister’s rehearsal dinner in a black mini dress, followed by a stunning appearance in a tan, off-the-shoulder gown at the wedding. Despite some suggestions of a baby bump in paparazzi photos, Gaga clarified that she was not pregnant and even referenced one of Taylor Swift’s songs in her denial.
Swift’s support for Lady Gaga came after the singer faced intrusive comments about her body during her European tour. While the two artists have not collaborated, they have shown support for each other online in the past. In a resurfaced clip from Gaga’s 2020 documentary, “Miss Americana,” Swift praised Gaga for speaking out about her own struggles with an eating disorder. Gaga, who has also been open about her history of disordered eating, commended Swift for her bravery in addressing the issue.
