Then it happened again: the Other day I looked in the mirror and fainted a moment of dread over how ugly I have become.
Normally I throw only a fleeting glance at myself just to check that there is Ritter Sport in the corner of his mouth. But just last Wednesday I had a birthday, and it is the day of the year where I give myself an extra review in about 15 seconds.
Each year, it is a nightmare. But I am going to get. I shake it of me.
I tolerate, that I will systematically uglier. My eyelid looks like it’s sitting on the edge of a ymerkarton. And my ears have grown to Gremlin-size. I am a kind of mogwai with skinny legs and distended belly.
But that’s how it just is, and I don’t have anything against getting older. I would admittedly like to be without all sorts of reminders in the mirror and worried letters from Ældresagen and the regional hospital and the offer of tarmundersøgelser and river cruises on the Danube with a two-hour stay in a cozy town. But I tolerate it.
I also have no ambitions to be old for any price. I get the life I deserve. Also on the way, I am an oddity, for most others want to live long, while at the same time they do not want to be old.
that is Why they rush around on villavejene in joggingtøj, checking their stools, stoppers with quinoa and regularly visit their doctor without fail anything.
It is now so widespread that a medical professor the other day warned that the health service drowning in the middle class of small problems.
It is probably a sort of political statement. And it is true that there is inequality in healthcare. But on the other hand, the lower class in Denmark, according to the University’s Business is actually far more physician services than upper class. And since the richest 10 per cent. of the danes pay 32 per cent. of the taxes, so they feel, Slot Oyunları perhaps, that they would like to be allowed to visit the doctor once in a while.
But if his attacks on the middle class, embodies a kind of contempt for its desire for an eternal life in a young body, so I give him right.
There is quite simply something uncomfortably self-absorbed and naturstridigt in that would be so damn young, so damn long and to be so monstrous old. For the next århundredeskifte we are cut the 92-year-old, but there is no guarantee that we will be happier. Even the slimmest half marathon-academician of the residential neighborhood ends up stolpre around with gangstativet on the way to bænkevasken at the Nursing home Granhøj. Even the wildest 72-year-old crossfit-just sitting a few years after, in private and in certain in front of a tv screen for as long as possible in their own homes. For how it goes. Such is life.
I will, of course, does not prevent the people in the bolt around and eat healthy. I just wish that we be reconciled with life. We could begin to take ourselves a little less seriously. And death is like bullfighting: It’s all about to be alive when you get hit.
