The Spanish fashion house Loewe has been forced to apologise and pull a 12,000 kroner a costly set back.

It happens after that, critics have pointed out that the set reminds remarkably a lot about a fangedragt from the KZ-camps during the 2. in world war ii.

the Set was a part of the Loewes, William de Morgan collection, which is a tribute to the ‘freedom and imagination’, but imagination went so far, according to several critical voices on social media, where Loewe among other things, got the message that they ‘should be ashamed’.

Therefore opted for the fashion house so Friday to lay down flat. It writes The Independent.

“We have been informed that one of our looks can be misunderstood as a reference to one of the most hateful moments in human history,” said the fashion house, in a now deleted Instagram lookup.

“This has certainly never been our intention, and we apologize to all who may have felt that we were insensitive. The set is now no longer to be found in our commercial supply,” continued the apology.

the Set came on the market the 14. november and reached therefore only to be for sale in one and a half week’s time.

It is certainly not the first time that a major fashion house must creep to the cross, after criticism of their committee.

H&M was, for example, last year criticised for a green hoodie, where the model was a dark boy, while on the jersey stood: ‘Coolest monkey in the jungle’.

And earlier in the year had the Gucci take tough blow, as they launched a rullekravestrik with built-in mask and big red lips, because the critics thought that the fashion house paid homage to the black culture by ‘blackface’.

Adidas is also one of the brands which have received public condemnation. It happened in 2012, when the sportsmærket launched the shoe’s Roundhouse Mids’, which was designed with a chain and a link to take around the ankle, and it happened again in the spring, where Adidas had to pull his Ultraboost Uncaged-line back.

the Line was designed to pay homage to black culture, but was criticized because it consisted of white shoes.
