in Many places in Denmark, you feel, perhaps, that the streets have been a little tommere, even though the christmas shopping season will soon be at its highest.
It is because, nethandlen is still rising steadily, but now warns the Danish Competition and Consumer authority.
Because even though the vast majority of experiences with online shopping are success stories, so it is important to still be aware.
If you are not in it, so it may go completely wrong.
“by Far the most online shopping goes well, and many danes feel confident shopping on the web. Security may just not be a crutch, so they don’t get checked, who they are doing business with,” says deputy director of the Danish Competition and Consumer authority, Mette Rose Skaksen, in a press release.
the Fear is that the citizens believe that they are acting in a Danish online shop, but if they don’t get investigated further, then it may later turn out to be a foreign place. And it can give really big problems.
“If the top turns out to be in a country outside the EU, it can have implications for both the total price and the consumer’s rights and means of redress,” says Mette Rose Skaksen.
for Example, the danes can end up paying a very expensive customs, if the package does not come from the EU. It is because of the customs regulations.
Lars Arent, who is the head of the European Consumer explains that they often receive inquiries from danes who believe they have acted on a european side.
It can be really annoying, if there is something wrong with the product, because it is significantly harder and more expensive to appeal than if the package is from an EU country.
There are also other reasons why one must pay extra attention.
IN the european UNION has strict rules for what is allowed to be sold. There could be dangerous chemicals in the toys you are ordering from a country outside the EU.
“We have just completed an effort in which we have tested 22 products from trading platforms outside of the EU. 21 of them were dangerous. It is important that consumers think well of, and checks whether they are dealing with a company outside of the EU,” says Lone Brose, who is head of department at the Danish safety technology authority.
It can also be a problem that many products are tampered with, so it’s not the real thing, you order home.
Research Wilke has made a survey of 1020 danes, and here is a third, which has tried to be surprised to have bought goods in a shop, which they thought was English, but that turned out not to be.
In the same survey, the equivalent of 40 percent of the participants that they have experienced problems in connection with a trade on the web.
