The heaviest pumpkin in Europe comes from Bavaria. Luca Stöckl from Tapfheim (Bavaria) prevailed at the weigh-in competition in Ludwigsburg. His pumpkin weighed 1041.5 kilograms. This is also a new German record. Stefano Cutrupi, last year’s winner, came in second with a pumpkin weighing 973.5 kilograms. Matthias Würsching from Einhausen in Hesse came third with a pumpkin weighing 957.5 kilograms.
Cutrupi from Italy has held the world record since 2021: his pumpkin weighed around 1,200 kilograms. The European Pumpkin Weighing Championship takes place as part of the pumpkin exhibition in Ludwigsburg. The pumpkin exhibition runs until December 3rd.
