Saxon state exhibition in Zwickau, with five satellites in Chemnitz, Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge, Germany, Crimmitschau and Freiberg since Saturday is open for visitors. “The response is positive, the interest is there,” said a spokesman in the early afternoon on request. The four-year-long prepared Show with the title “Boom. 500 years of industrial culture in Saxony“ was opened on the eve. The Central part is set in an old Assembly hall of the Auto Union AG in 1938 in Zwickau, with around 600 exhibits, a multi-media journey through the history of the country. In six chapters, Boom should make the industrial cultural Tradition, their influence on the people and their potential for the future accessible. It traces the industrial development of Saxony, and the associated social changes – at authentic locations of the “coal boom” and “textile boom” until the “silver boom”.
In the August-Horch-Museum Zwickau, in industry and in the railway Museum in Chemnitz, in the mining Museum Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge, in the cloth factory, Gebr. Peacock in Crimmitschau and in the silver mines of Freiberg apply Corona-hygiene requirements, such as an access limitation, as well as the obligation to Wear a mouth-nose cover.
