The memorial of German separation Marienborn deals in a new permanent exhibition on contemporary Art with the history of the largest former German-German border crossing and the Region. On 460 square meters of exhibition space, there is more historical context and biographical information than in the past. New interviews were filmed, there is a Multimedia Installation, in addition, a stronger emphasis on exhibits. Topics such as flight, transit, life in the border region and the Peaceful Revolution are explained for younger visitors. The previous permanent exhibition had existed for more than 20 years.

Because of the Corona of a pandemic, there is instead an opening event on Friday morning, a Premiere tour with Saxony-Anhalt Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff and Parliament President Gabriele brake Bush (both CDU). In the connector (14: 00) the exhibition is open in the main building of the memorial to the public. The border crossing point marienborn at the highway 2, the largest and most important was at the inner-German border outside of Berlin.
