It’s a miracle: every time I see Lilly, now 13, I’m happy for her because she’s so happy. She does what a teenager has to do, grows up incredibly quickly, goes along with what mom and dad say, loves horseback riding and hanging out with friends.
Most of all, I’m happy that my best friend’s daughter is still alive.
