Marc Surer believes that Nico Hulkenberg, will be driving, he should sit at the second Silverstone this weekend in the Racing Point, own the Podium. But the formula 1 expert expects that Hülkenberg will go on the second try a lot easier than the first, and sees him, therefore, “loose in the first Ten”.

In a Video Interview with editor-in-chief Christian Nimmervoll (YouTube Premiere on Tuesday at 17:00) speaks Surer about hülkenberg’s sensational Comeback and explains why the lack of knowledge about the manual of the RP20 was presumably less of a Problem than the non-practice trained neck muscles.

Basically, the Swiss, between 1979 and 1986, a rating in formula 1 at the Start (among other things, for Teams such as Brabham, and Arrows), the Comeback idea of Hulkenberg as “super,” as it analyzes the YouTube-Video (available on the channels of motorsport-total.com #AND# formel1.de).

Surprisingly, this was not, however, “does not lose his Talent suddenly,” says Surer. “I have not made it at all, no Worries, that he is immediately fast, and he was.”

Surer: the Biggest concern for Fitness

“Where I have made a lot more Worry is his Fitness. No matter what are for cars you drive and how much fitness training you: formula 1 you can’t really train one hundred percent,” he knows from his own experience.

“The centrifugal forces are this year, as high as ever. I was Worried that he has a problem. But actually, he has mastered quite well. On the neck he has got problems, but this is not surprising.”

Whether Hulkenberg can also ride the second Silverstone weekend as a replacement for the COVID-19 diseased Sergio Perez best, is still to be determined. The Comeback should go in the second round, is Surer, however, optimistic: “He will be loose in the first Ten to ride.”

Silverstone 1: miss Perez?

And, although the Racing Point is not, in his opinion, “on fast courses, so convincing”. Surer: “We were always tight bends. If you’re Spielberg, you have curves as more close as a quick. In Hungary, anyway. We had to do now for the first Time, with fast curves.”

“Somehow the car didn’t fit there, so one hundred percent, not as convincing as it was in Hungary. Now it was his bad luck. Yeah, but it’ll also analyze and improve the car. Next weekend I expect, then, that Racing Point will be among the frontrunners again. And Nico anyway.”

The Comeback of Nico Hulkenberg was this week, by the way, is also a Central theme in the Podcast ‘Starting Grid’. The one and a half hour formula-1-Talk is now available to download in the audio player on the ‘Motorsport-Total.com’ and ‘Formel1.de’; or, alternatively, as an iTunes subscription and directly in ‘meinsportpodcast.de’.

In the Podcast explains Nimmervoll, why Perez’ stay away from anything to do with the unexpectedly poor Performance of the Racing Point at Silverstone could have. And why it is doubly bitter is that Hülkenberg could not participate in the first race …
