Donald Trump has abruptly interrupted on Monday, August 11, a press conference at the White House, briefly placed in confinement, before returning to explain that the “Secret Service”, responsible for protecting the president of the United States, came to shoot a person “outside of the White House”.

“The police shot someone”, explained Donald Trump in front of the journalists. “And the suspect is en route to the hospital,” he added. The question of whether the suspect was armed, the president replied: “From what I understand, yes.” “It was outside” the fence of the White House, he added. “It may not have had anything to do with me”.

The president of the United States gave his daily press briefings when an agent in charge of his security approached. “Excuse me ?” asked Donald Trump by interrupting, before leaving calmly the room once the agent has slipped some explanations to the ear, followed by his team. “Shaken ? (…) The world has always been a dangerous place. This is not something special,” replied the republican to a question from a journalist, to his return after several minutes.
“I feel safe with the Secret Service. These are fantastic people, the best of the best”, he said of the federal agency, ensuring the close protection of the leader of the United State and other political figures of the united states. Donald Trump then resumed his press conference focused on the pandemic and the u.s. economy.
