Even if the Oktoberfest may be cancelled this year – the Wiesn-Maßkrug is already available to buy. Orders are already possible online at various portals. The mug bears this year’s poster motif-the usual Wiesn insignia against a light yellow background: gingerbread heart with a white – blue border, mug, pretzels, hops, above it delicate blue Olympic rings, an allusion to the Olympic looping roller coaster.
Among other things, the jug with this year’s poster emblem under the title “Oktoberfest Shop “Wiesn daheim”” is offered on the official Oktoberfest site-even if it is not yet clear whether the Oktoberfest fans really need to drink their beer at home.
Last year, when the largest folk festival in the world had to be cancelled due to coronabedingt, there had also been a Wiesn poster and a Wiesn mug.
With or without Wiesn, there will also be the Wirte-Krug, a separate collector’s item from the Wiesn-Wirte, which was not published in 2020.
The Wiesn would take place this year from 18 September to 3 October. A decision is expected in May.
