Unknown persons have damaged the charging station in Marklandstraße not far from the Munich S-Bahn station Fasangarten with an unusual action. They have filled minced meat into the plug-in device of the charging station, which has penetrated into the contacts of the plugs. These therefore had to be replaced. Who is responsible for the evil joke could not be determined. This is reported by the Stadtwerke München (SWM) in the current town hall survey.
Anti-vegan attack on charging station
According to the report, the Stadtwerke München are recording more and more cases of vandalism at e-charging stations. Nevertheless, the disturbance rate of three percent is relatively low compared to the national average of 17 percent. In addition, there had recently been trouble at charging stations when individual e-car owners plugged their vehicles into a charging station without authorising the charging process afterwards and using it as a pure parking space. As a result, other users who joined the second pillar first loaded the unauthorized car. In the meantime, however, the problem has been fixed. Vandalism against e-cars
That cars become targets of attacks is nothing new – as the 239 burning vehicles in Berlin alone in 2020 testify. Vandalism against e-mobility is a special aspect of this problem. In January last year reported EFAHRER.com about a Tesla driver whose Model 3 was damaged by vandals. He had parked his car in an underground car park and plugged it into the shop. Two young men, who were parked next to him, tried to pull the cable out of the car and sometimes kicked the rear of the Tesla violently. However, this has the Sentry Mode, which filmed the process thanks to a camera. The owner was able to transmit the video to the managers of the parking garage. He also posted it on YouTube and made the incident visible to the general public. You can read the whole story including the video here.
Just about a month later, an Australian vandal gained worldwide fame. Known as the” pajama vandal”, she got into trouble in an Australian parking garage on a Tesla Model 3 and did not get off unscathed. Read more here.
