The crash involved a single vehicle and occurred in the 3700 block of Spiers Road just before 10:30 pm. According to police, a blue Chevrolet vehicle was involved in the accident and went off the road and into a large embankment.
Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy stated in a press release.
“The male 16-year-old passenger was taken to BC Emergency Health Services for non-life-threatening injuries.
For processing purposes, the scene of the accident was temporarily closed. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
Noseworthy stated that the BC Coroners Service is also investigating the death.
