Bionda, Rosso and Raisa spend almost their entire lives on the water. They float from pond to pond on white boards; their journey takes around six weeks. During this time, initially fine seedlings turn into magnificent bouquets. The three beautiful ones are lettuce varieties with crisp green and reddish-brown leaves.

During the growth phase, the plants live exclusively on light and water; soil is not involved. The roots draw fluid and dissolved nutrients through holes in the boards. Once the required level of ripeness has been reached, the harvest begins. Then Bionda, Rosso and Raisa are led via a channel into the packaging hall. People wrap them in foil and send them to the region’s supermarkets.
