By winning its preliminary round game against CS Mont-Royal Outremont on Wednesday night, Forge FC made an appointment with CF Montreal in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Championship.
Le Forge won 2-0 over the defending champions of the Premier League Soccer of Quebec (PLSQ) thanks to goals from Terran Campbell and Woobens Pacius, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.
The Bleu-Blanc-Noir and the Ontario team met last year in the semi-finals of this competition. CF Montreal narrowly won in the shootout after going 0-0. In the final, Wilfried Nancy’s men won the Voyageurs Cup by beating Toronto FC 1-0 in November.
Club de Foot, which received a bye in the first round, will face Forge FC at Stade Saputo at the end of May.
