Revolution in the Communication area of Telefónica. The Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of the Spanish telecom company, Eduardo Navarro, has designed a new organization for the General Directorate of Communication with the aim of “strengthening its capacity for action and designed to meet even more effectively the needs of the new ecosystem of business”, they have explained from the operator. The global Communication department, headed by Eva Fernández, maintains its structure in two main areas of action: Audiences and Corporate and Strategic Communication. The first, directed by Laura Sanz, is subdivided into Product, in charge of the evolution of the corporate website and intranet; Social media; the Corporate Information Service (SIC) and Data. From the operator they have highlighted that this new line of communication arises “with a clearly strategic vision and will deal with the permanent monitoring of the digital ecosystem related to any of Telefónica’s brands”.
For its part, the Corporate Communication and Strategy department, headed by Francisco Álvarez, integrates four main areas: Corporate and Business Units, headed by Pedro Calvo, and where everything from relations with the Presidency to financial communication or Movistar are grouped. ; We are 100, which brings together all of Telefónica’s internal communications, with Jesús Peñalba; and Fundación Telefónica, with Lydia Loste.
