A weekend full of religious, musical and gastronomic activities that began Saturday with the performance of the Reunion Jazz Quartet group, a quartet of voice, piano, sax and drums that will liven up the mid-day with its fusion of jazz with Latin.
In the afternoon, the traditional mass will take place in honor of the deceased brothers, followed by a tasting of the water from the sacred spring of the Santo Ángel Custodio hermitage. At night, they will be able to enjoy a new concert by Dani Romero, a singer and pianist from Toledo who will present us with his repertoire full of versions with his own style that makes the songs his own.
During the day on Sunday, the mass will take place after which the saint’s bread rolls are blessed, which the attendees will receive along with a lemonade.
On this day, visitors can have fun with classic Toledo games such as quinolas with ceramic figures. As for the musical part, Madrí Gras will put all the most original flavor of New Orleans music that will make us dance to the most delicious rhythm from across the pond.
To end this traditional celebration, the brothers will take out the image of the Angel in a procession on Sunday afternoon, starting and ending at the hermitage, after going through the different spaces that this Cigarral del Ángel houses, owned by Soliss Seguros. For his part, Carlos Canela will be in charge of putting the musical finishing touch to this long-awaited return, combining the most traditional flamenco with the new flamenco and drinking from great known references in this musical style.
Together, as every year, Toledo residents and visitors will be able to enjoy all these activities while tasting the popular gastronomy prepared by the house chef Iván Cerdeño, awarded with two Michelin stars and three Repsol Suns. Likewise, this open day will feature the now traditional wedding showroom in which new trends in the sector will be shown, as well as the new lighting for weddings held at Cigarral del Ángel.
