Gunshots were heard overnight from Friday to Saturday in the Montreal-North borough of Montreal.
After several searches, the police found a casing at the intersection of rue de la Gare and rue Alfred, said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Mariane Allaire-Morin.
No injuries were reported, it said.
Investigators went to the scene to try to determine the circumstances of the event. The canine unit and forensic identification technicians.
