Barcelona, ​​14 May (EFE) .- The clown, activist and ex-councilor of ERC in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada (Barcelona), Jordi Pesarrodona, has been the most voted candidate in the elections for the national secretariat of the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), ahead of the other favorite, lawyer Dolors Feliu.

The pro-independence entity has closed this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. the first phase of the electoral process that should lead to the renewal of the current management team, chaired by Elisenda Paluzie, at a time of maximum cooling of relations with the pro-independence parties.

According to the provisional results made public by the ANC, the candidate who has obtained the most support has been Pesarrodona, with 2,306 votes, followed by Feliu, with 2,188, and former coupero deputy Julià de Jòdar, with 1,197.

Once the current 75 national secretaries have been renewed, on May 21 the plenary session of the constitution of the national secretary will be held in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), where the person who will occupy the presidency of this sovereign entity for a maximum of four years will be chosen.
