“This is devastating news for a parent,” writes the 40-year-old artist.
The latter mentions that she may have had to wait before announcing her pregnancy, but explains that she was so excited to share this good news last month.
Britney Spears also says that she and her husband intend to continue trying to expand their family. She thanks her fans for their support, but asks people to respect her privacy during these difficult times.
