The mayor of Toledo, Milagros Tolón, has accompanied this Saturday the Filial Brotherhood of the Virgen del Rocío in its traditional discourse and pilgrimage through the streets of the city. The mayor, together with councilors from the Government team such as Pablo García, Ana Abellán and Marta Medina, among other representatives of the Municipal Corporation, has joined this celebration that recovers color and joy after two years without making a pilgrimage given the social circumstances covid-19 health.

Milagros Tolón has highlighted the traditions of Toledo such as this pilgrimage with which the Brotherhood of the Virgen del Rocío symbolically begins the path to the Almonte village of El Rocío, where they will meet again with this universal devotion on the morning of Monday, June 6 .

The mayor has shared this appointment with the councilor of the brotherhood, Juan Alberto Ramírez, as well as with the president, Francisco Pleite, and with this year’s older sister, Juana Redondo. The brotherhood of Toledo has released a new cart alluding to the city of Toledo and the rich Gothic heritage that the city treasures, a cabinet-making work carried out by the Huelva workshop of Francisco Javier Llorente.
