An elderly woman, 95 years old and with reduced mobility, has been helped by agents of the Civil Guard, finding herself dizzy and with symptoms of sunstroke due to high temperatures, after the breakdown of the vehicle in which she was traveling with her son at kilometer 59 of the A-4 motorway.

It was on May 10 around 4:00 p.m., when a patrol from the Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard of Ocaña observed a damaged car occupying part of the roadway of this highway and a man outside using the reflective vest. The man told the agents that he was traveling with his mother and his vehicle had suffered a breakdown, not being able to start it, and that they were waiting for the tow truck.

The civil guards saw an elderly woman inside the car, with mobility problems and symptoms of fatigue, about to suffer fainting due to the high temperatures outside and not being able to stay with the air conditioning when the vehicle was damaged.

At that time, and with the consent of her son, the agents decided to move this woman in her official vehicle to a place where she could be in the shade and at a lower temperature.

With difficulty, the civil guards removed this 95-year-old woman from the vehicle and took her in their official vehicle to a nearby service area where they provided her with a seat and water to hydrate. The patrol waited for the arrival of her son and the tow truck with the damaged vehicle, remaining in the custody of her mother, now calmer and in good health.
