Arrival of the fifth: 13 – 11 – 7 – 15 – 4
After a sensational Sunday on the ParisLongchamp track, with in particular the victory of Tony Parker’s silks in the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (Gr. I), thanks to the champion Mangoustine, the Vichy racecourse (Allier) took the relay for the first quinté of the week. This European race pitted fourteen trotters aged 7 to 10 inclusive, on the 2,950m course, after the package of Fly to the Moon (n°3) and that of Escapade du Digeon (n°5).
This event gave pride of place to prominent competitors with in particular the victory of the big favorite Farrell Seven (n°13), proposed at 8/10. Winner of a similar event on this right-hand course, on May 2, this 7-year-old gelding confirmed, and won the fifth quinté of his career. Even if he had to go the distance, his trainer and driver Jean-Michel Bazire took the train on his own one lap from the goal before placing an excellent acceleration to break away from his opponents: “He won easily at underlined the multiple gold sulky at the microphone of Equidia. He is a horse that is very successful in fifths. You wouldn’t have thought that of him at first because he was short and had character. He also had leg problems at 3 and 4 years old. His worries probably allowed him to age very well. »
