The Courteau circuit selected the three young men after “an in-depth analysis of the academic records” of each of the 18 finalists – one per team – revealed last April.

Cormier is a full-time student in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at the University of Prince Edward Island. The Vegas Golden Knights prospect has excelled in his studies, completing eight college courses in the past year, maintaining an excellent 3.8 GPA.

For his part, Gaucher is enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at the University of New Brunswick. He has so far completed nearly twenty courses and maintained an excellent GPA of 4.2. Earlier this week, the 21-year-old veteran received the Guy-Carbonneau trophy, given to the best defensive forward in the QMJHL.

Finally, Truchon has been a student in the natural sciences program at Cégep Limoilou for two years. He impressed with his R-rating of 35.9 which testifies to his excellent academic performance.

The winner of the Marcel-Robert trophy will be announced later in the day.
