Two sports with a significant number of licenses in Álava, such as paddle tennis and golf, will have a common bond and objective: to participate in ‘The One Race To Marbella’, a circuit that was born in 2020 in the city of Malaga and that It consists of four golf tests and as many paddle tennis, prior to a final Master where the winners of each tie in their different categories meet.

In the 2021 edition, more than 1,300 players participated and in this new edition there will be more than 2,000 participants. The great novelty is that this event opens its borders and will hold two tests in the Basque Country, promoting its internationalization in 2023 with sporting events in countries such as Sweden and Italy.

The paddle competition will take place from today until next Sunday at Pádel Norte, with more than 180 players divided into seven categories, four men’s and three women’s. In the first of them, Adrián Crespo and Álvaro Rodríguez are the big favourites. The seven couples who will attend the Final Master will leave from here, between September 24 and 25 in the town of Malaga. In addition to paddlers from Alava, the provinces of Guipuzcoa, Vizcaya, Navarra and La Rioja will also be represented. In parallel, the tournament also has a didactic section as it offers introductory padel sessions for collaborating companies.

Golf will take center stage on May 28 at the Izki course. The inscriptions, a total of 120, sold out in 24 hours.
