The series We will conclude this fall on Club illico, learned the QMI Agency during a visit to the film set, Thursday, in the Saint-Henri district, in Montreal.

The work written by Dominick Parenteau-Lebeuf and produced by Yannick Savard has not been renewed by Quebecor Content. Producer Anne Boyer, of Duo Productions, confirmed the news. Thus, two seasons totaling 24 episodes will finally be produced.

The last 12 episodes will be no less interesting and will close the loop, especially the whole story surrounding Camille (Marianne Fortier), who was betrayed by her parents Anne and Claude (Élise Guilbault and Marc Béland). All his life, they made him believe that his twin brother Baptiste had died at birth, when he was instead abandoned because he had Down’s syndrome. This heavy secret, when it exploded, deeply hurt Camille, who left the family home where she occupied a studio.

“Everyone around Camille is going to come together with a few killer lines,” said her interpreter, Marianne Fortier, about the second season, which is due to land on Club illico next October.

“Camille is hard to excuse at times, but at the same time it’s understandable, because there’s a lot of pain. It’s realizing that for 24 years you’ve been living a lie and it’s the people you love most in the world who have been lying to you. It’s hard to digest and it will take her time,” continued the actress in an interview with the QMI Agency.

Producer Anne Boyer explained that “you have to forgive for yourself, because it’s horrible to have resentment”.

Camille will want to make up for lost time with her brother, who is now called Diego. “She will want to know him, he will be very present”, underlined Dominick Parenteau-Lebeuf.

As for Camille’s mother, Anne, she will get better health-wise, despite the failure of her relationship with her daughter, because someone will help her see things more clearly.

In the second season, we will also “dig” deeper into the plot of each of the five friends who, let’s remember, found themselves by chance, under the blow of fate, 24 years after their birth which occurred a few hours from interval in the same hospital.

Dominick Parenteau-Lebeuf explained, about these other main characters, that Alexis will get better by taking the lead of the Green Caboches and taking his medication treating his bipolarity. “It’s interesting to see him walk in a certain stability. He is going to exhibit his miniature works. Things are better, therefore, but at the same time his relationship with Camille affects him.

Margaux (Laetitia Isambert), she will continue to “sink into the tortuous meanders” of her toxic relationship with Guillaume (Philippe Thibault-Denis). Anaïs, for her part, will live an “unconscious quest” linked to her father, which “will lead her to make a big mistake”. Anaïs will also “play a fairly central role in another secret frame of the season”, revealed Ms. Parenteau-Lebeuf.

Finally, with Thibault (Kevin Ranély) we are in the repercussions linked to his rape. “He starts in hell and will try to get out of it. How do you get out of this when you already have a tendency to self-destruct,” the author asked.

Filming for Us will wrap in nine days, in early June.
