MADRID, 20 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Levante beat Rayo Vallecano (2-4) this Friday on the last day of LaLiga Santander for both, being the farewell to the category for the ‘granota’, who left at least with their heads held high.

A week after completing their relegation against Real Madrid, Alessio Lisci’s team returned to the capital to put an end to an unhappy season. Those from Vallecas, unable to win at home in 2022, gave in in a nice exchange with nothing at stake beyond pleasing their fans and celebrating the renewal of Andoni Iraola.

The fringe team went ahead after 20 minutes through Álvaro García, but Melero soon equalized for the visitors. Before the break, Roger and again Melero signed Levante’s comeback in the middle of the round trip that the match was going through.

At the time of the match, Lisci’s team had the sentence, with a masterpiece by Morales, but the VAR rewound the play to signal a penalty from Bardhi to Baby in the other area. From 1-4 it went to 2-3, the maximum penalty converted by Sergi Guardiola.

Rayo looked for their option to cheer Vallecas up, but Levante struck again, with a former Rayo player like Coke, excited by his goal and consoled by the stands. Levante says goodbye with honor, in tears and thinking with whom it will seek the return.
