Agents of the Cuenca Civil Guard have arrested a 30-year-old man in the Cuenca town of San Clemente as the alleged perpetrator of the latest macho murder in Montemayor (Córdoba) of a 26-year-old woman with whom he allegedly had a romantic relationship .

The events occurred in the early hours of last Saturday when a man who had attacked his sentimental partner with a knife, had fled from the place of the attack. The victim later died at the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba.

After these events, the Civil Guard of Córdoba initiated an investigation to clarify the criminal acts, being able to ascertain that the possible author of the acts was the sentimental partner of the victim, a 30-year-old man of Romanian nationality, who after committing the assault had fled the scene.

The progress of the investigation made it possible to find out that the alleged perpetrator could be found in a town in Cuenca. The investigators contacted the Civil Guard of Cuenca due to the suspicion that it could be found in that province, as reported by the Benemérita.

In this way, a device was initiated whose result has been the location and arrest on Monday morning, within the municipality of San Clemente, of the victim’s partner as the alleged perpetrator of her death.

In any case, the Civil Guard Command of Córdoba continues the investigation with the collaboration requested from other Corps commands until the facts are fully clarified.
