The admission for the students of the official language schools (EOI) of the Valencian Community for the next course will start on June 20. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport has published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) the admission and enrollment calendar for the 2022-2023 academic year in these centers.
The EOI network, which is present in 68 municipalities through 74 different locations between main offices and sections, allows you to learn seventeen languages: German, English, Arabic, Basque, French, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Chinese, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Valencian and Spanish for foreigners.
The telematic process to request a place in the official language schools will be open on the telematricula.es website in the ordinary phase from 12:00 noon on June 20 until 11:59 p.m. on July 4.
Admission will open again in an extraordinary call in September, in this case from 12:00 noon on the 15th to 11:59 p.m. on the 18th.
A maximum of fifty combinations can be submitted in a single online application, indicating the language, the chosen EOI, its location, the level, the course and the time slot that best suits the preferences of the applicants. in a maximum of three languages.
The novelty this year is that the people admitted will have the option of formalizing the registration electronically if the EOI in which they have obtained a place has activated this possibility. Thus, in all the EOI the formalization of the enrollment in ordinary call can be done in person from July 11 to 29. However, in those EOIs that provide students with the submission of documentation electronically, the formalization can be done online from July 11 to 15, detailed from the department headed by the Minister Raquel Tamarit.
The results of the allocation of vacancies in the ordinary call can be consulted at telematricula.es on July 8. Those admitted who are interested in formalizing the registration electronically must verify on the website of the EOI that has been assigned to them if this option is possible.
In the case of the extraordinary call for September, the results of the award will be available at telematricula.es on September 21. From September 21 to 29, candidates who have obtained a place will be able to formalize the registration in person at the assigned EOI. In the EOI that facilitate the sending of the documentation by electronic means to the students, the period for sending the documentation will be from September 21 to 25.
With regard to teaching staff in Valencian schools supported by public funds, the Department of Education recalls that they have at their disposal the Comprehensive Plan for Language Learning for Teachers (PIALP), which allows them to access the courses of the EOI for free to improve your language level.
The novelty of the PIALP for the next academic year 2022-2023 is that French is now added to the English and Valencian courses that have already been offered to teachers for five years. Teachers interested in participating in PIALP training actions must complete a telematic application through the Ovidoc platform, the teacher’s virtual office (https://acces.edu.gva.es/sso/login.xhtml).
The deadline for submitting applications for the free English, Valencian and French courses for new PIALP teachers will be open on the Ovidoc platform from 12:00 noon on May 26 to 11:59 p.m. on June 6, and the lists of people admitted will be published from June 15.
Those applicants who must pass a level test to join any EOI course will find on the centres’ website, both the calendar established by each EOI, as well as the pre-registration procedure for the level test, the necessary information on the payment of the fee and the way to formalize the registration.
This level test will be done in September on the days determined by each EOI. However, all schools must publish the respective results before 3:00 p.m. on September 16, so that applicants can make the electronic application for admission in the extraordinary call.
All information on admission for the next course will be available soon on the EOI web portal. The offer includes 120-hour courses, four hours a week, divided into two two-hour sessions. There is also the possibility of complementary courses of 30 to 60 hours distributed in sessions of two hours per week, of a much more practical nature.
