The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Thursday in Congress, during his appearance for the Pegasus eavesdropping that the pro-independence groups had requested, that the organic law regulating the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and also that of official secrets. The first dates from 2002, under the Government of José María Aznar, and the second, as the chief executive has emphasized, from 1968, “that is, during the dictatorship.” This last reform, which the PNV has been demanding, was already scheduled to be addressed in the session that will open after the summer.
For the rest, Sánchez has completely disassociated himself from listening to pro-independence leaders, such as the Catalan president, Pere Aragonès, whom he has taken advantage of to extend his hand, asking to reactivate the so-called “dialogue table” with the Generalitat.
A good part of his hour of speech has also been dedicated to vindicating himself as president of a “clean” government, which, he has emphasized, has not incurred in the “corrupt” practices of the PP cabinets, for which he has cited the case in detail Kitchen and the resolutions on the matter of the parliamentary investigation commission.
