A policy from another era, serious and with the mission of “dignifying Spanish parliamentarism.” That is the task that Alberto Núñez Feijóo has entrusted to his deputies, senators and MEPs this Friday. In the Senate, the territorial chamber from which the president of the PP will exercise opposition to sanchismo, the Galician leader has completely broken with the forms of casadismo, but also with those of the Government of Pedro Sánchez and those of Vox.

Núñez Feijóo, already as a senator by autonomous appointment, has chaired in the Upper House the meeting of the parliamentary groups of the PP of Congress, Senate and European Parliament. In a calm but determined speech, he has summoned his followers to shun the “policy of insults and trenches.”

A message that breaks with the confrontation promoted by the Executive, but also formations such as Vox. This same Thursday, Santiago Abascal warned the popular that “no collaborationism” with this Government is “acceptable.”

But the former president of the Xunta de Galicia, backed by the four absolute majorities he won in his autonomous community, understands politics differently. He has demanded respect for the adversary and for the institutions, and has been clear: «The least that can be asked of a politician is education. The cameras are not a social network in which to compete with zascas and thick words. I ask you to contribute every day to dignifying Spanish parliamentarism. A direct missile to the previous address of the PP.
