Francesco Bagnaia, from the Ducati team, won the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday, April 29, ahead of Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). Moto GP’s reigning champion is still in first place in the world championship standings.

Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia), the Spaniard, was runner-up in the general classification to Quartaro. This podium is identical to the one from the Spanish Grand Prix last month. Marc Marquez, six-time Spanish world champion, finished 10th in his final race before having to take a long break for another operation on his right elbow. This was after he suffered a fracture in his right arm during the summer 2020.
