The year 2022 is marked by the recovery of the air sector, until now in crisis due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). For this reason, European Flyers, the leading flight training center in the country, strengthens its commitment to train the best pilots in order to respond to the high demand for these professionals in today’s labor market.
In this sense, the school continues to work on its training offer, which currently includes multiple comprehensive and modular courses for the training of airplane, helicopter and drone pilots, the most requested being ATPL, GyOTA and UAS.
The Airline Transport Pilot plan (ATPL) is aimed at obtaining the commercial pilot license issued by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA).
Taught by internationally recognized faculty, the course includes 180 hours of real flight and practice in pioneering simulators in the sector. For its part, the Helicopter Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL-H) has 142.5 hours of real flight and also offers simulator practice. In addition, all those students who choose this program will have the opportunity to join Babcock Spain, Europe’s largest provider of aerial medical and aerial firefighting services, with which the school has a collaboration agreement that favors entry into the world. work of their students.
European Flyers also teaches the ‘Air Transport Flight Operations’ itinerary of the Official Degree in Air Transport Management and Operations (GyOTA) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an official degree since 2018. Thus, upon reaching the third year, All students who select this option complete the training received at the UPM with this theoretical-practical program. In it, the students review the 13 subjects of the ATPL course and prepare to pass the official AESA exams, at the same time that they receive 180 hours of real flight instruction, complemented by instruction in the different simulators of the school.
On the other hand, European Flyers has launched the most complete online drone pilot course in the country with the aim of responding to one of the professions with the greatest future. As reflected in a survey carried out by the school itself of more than 2,000 people between the ages of 15 and 20, 1 in 3 young people considers being a drone pilot, despite the fact that 52% do not know what they have to study to be one. and 76% are unaware of the wide range of opportunities offered by the profession.
These data are what have made the center commit to this new course format, which is intended for all those students who are looking for a complete and serious professional training without having to travel to receive the theoretical classes, but only for the instruction of flight, and which is added to the one already offered by the school in person. This new plan includes six hours of real flight and will allow students to build their own racing drone in class and take it home along with its transmitter, receiver, batteries and FPV goggles.
The drone pilot profession is one of the great unknowns, which is why European Flyers training opens the doors to different and exciting sectors. This is yet another proof that the school adapts to the needs of the labor market by offering complete courses that guarantee excellent training for students.
Continuing its commitment to quality, European Flyers has incorporated a new helicopter and four Cessna 172s with Glass Cockpit technology into its fleet, the safest aircraft model for pilot training, so that its students can carry out with guarantee and security all the real flight hours offered by their training plans.
Likewise, it has reinforced its staff of flight instructors with the incorporation of prestigious professionals, who not only accompany the students during their classes, but also throughout their experience at the center.
With more than 30 years of experience and known for the quality and demand of its courses, the school has trained more than 2,000 students in its 100 promotions of airplane pilots, 19 helicopter pilots and 8 drone pilots. Most of them are currently active, putting into practice everything they have learned in school within the aeronautical sector.
