The Royal Theater will be the scene this Monday of the commemorative act of the 40th anniversary of Spain’s entry into NATO, which will be chaired by King Felipe VI and will also include the intervention of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Secretary General of The Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg.
The event, which takes place on the same day that Spain formally entered NATO, has also invited all the former presidents of the Government as well as the previous secretaries general of the Alliance.
The event will begin with the mandatory family photo, after which there will be a performance by the Madrid Symphony Orchestra. Sánchez will then speak, followed by Stoltenberg.
After that, a colloquium is scheduled between the former NATO Secretaries General so that they can talk about their experience and how they have seen Spain evolve over the years within the Alliance.
The closing will be carried out by Felipe VI who, next to Queen Letizia, will offer a lunch to the most distinguished guests of the event in the nearby Royal Palace.
