“It was racism, against Europeans”, Martin Varsavsky, founding businessman of Jazztel and CEO of Prelude Fertility, Goggo Network or VAS Ventures among others, has recounted through his social networks the horror he experienced with his family and other fans in Paris, where he went to see the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Varsavsky was a direct witness to what happened in the Stade de France and its surroundings where “gangs of people attacked us and robbed us.” It happened at the exit of the stadium. “It was a horror,” says the protagonist of the story that tells that hordes of thieves were robbing the fans. Two of the four tickets he had for the soccer game were also stolen, although he managed to get them back at the box office so he could enter the stadium.

The businessman says in his tweets that “the attackers were Arabs” and even points out that one of the policemen was from the same origin as them and felt ashamed of everything that was happening there.

“Our children were crying in fear”, Varsavsky says that together with other Real Madrid fans they had to make a human shield to protect their children when they left the stadium. “We will never go back to a football match in this city. Madrid is a paradise”, concludes the businessman, who like other fans, experienced in his flesh the saddest face of what should have been a party.
