The Guardamar Caliope de Salvameento Marítimo, mobilized by CCS Las Palmas, has rescued 49 people (44 men, 4 women and a baby) from a boat located 60 miles (110 kilometers) southeast of Gran Canaria.
The occupants have arrived at the Arguineguín pier after 10 pm and two transfers to the health center have been required.
Of the other five boats that were rescued over the weekend, two were located in the south of Fuerteventura with 130 people of sub-Saharan origin; another was heading to Lanzarote with 53 people on board (34 men, 15 women and 4 children); 38 sub-Saharan migrants arrived in Gran Canaria, including four women and a baby, who came in a pneumatic, and another was intercepted 54 miles from Lanzarote with 58 people, including a baby.
