One of the goals of the Guadalajara Story Marathon has always been to convert oral narration into a way of enjoying words told out loud among all types of audiences and in any place: a garden, a patio, a library. , a building with history. Hence the ‘Traveller Marathon’ initiative that takes stories to different corners of the province with the collaboration of municipal libraries and town halls.
The libraries have been in charge of designing the activities around their particular Story Marathon, and the SLIJ has facilitated contact with professional storytellers.
The programming of the ‘Traveller Marathon’ starts this Thursday and the event is scheduled to run until June 10.
The stories will be the protagonists in a total of 16 municipalities in the province: Azuqueca de Henares, Cabanillas del Campo, Brihuega, El Casar, Fontanar, Horche, Humanes, Marchamalo, Mondéjar, Quer, Sigüenza, Torrejón del Rey, Tórtola de Henares, Villanueva de la Torre, Yebes, Yunquera de Henares. Also, one more year, the city’s Barrio de los Manantiales joins the Traveler Marathon. In this case, the ACCEM organization collaborates in the organization of a storytelling session.
