Juan Marin, the head of Ciudadanos’ poster for the Andalusian Parliament election on June 19, and vice president of Andalusian Government has ratified this Thursday his prediction of a PPVox pact to form government in Andalusia. He argued that Juanma Moreno wanted to remain president and that this operation is “pure arithmetic” while he claimed “dignity” in politics, “to leave and enter.”

Marin made these statements during his participation at an informative breakfast organized by Forum Europa. Tribuna Andalucia, where he was presented by Edmundo Bal, deputy secretary general of the party and deputy spokesperson in Congress.

The Ciudadanos candidate for the PP has argued that Vox is going to make a pact, as it has done with Vox, while pointing out that Vox’s entry in to the Andalusian government will have an impact on that. He cited the example from the Community of Madrid where he recalled Isabel Diaz Ayuso being in the Presidency more than a year ago and that there was “no Budget”.

Vox: He has said that Andalusia is not important to him after pointing out the party’s goal to make “Abascal the president, that is why they come”, while recalling the words of Javier Ortega Smith (general secretary of Vox), who referred to Andalusia being a “springboard” to other electoral goals.

Concerning the future, he stated that “I cannot resign myself” and be pessimistic. He also said that Andalusians will vote for the “change that has worked in this country”.

Marin said that defeat doesn’t scare him, that you learn from defeats and that you don’t gain anything from victories.” He also stated that he was glad that Juanma Moreno (the president of the Andalusian Government) has promised in an informative breakfast at Europa Press that he would like to have Cs leaders at different levels of Administration. He estimated that this shows that he “want to have the best”, and wondered “who made the policies of employment and educational policies, who reformed VT, and who have reformed the management of European funds, and worked with the self-employed”

Marin said that “I am here to support Albert Rivera”, referring to the founder of Ciudadanos. He then went on to explain that each member has done their job, and that we all have different projects.

Marin explained Vox’s growth that the electoral polls point towards. This would allow Marin to double the 11 seats he currently holds in the Andalusian Parlament. Vox’s promise to “dissolve State of Autonomies”, which he announced to do, has been questioned. Vox’s claim to “dissolve State of Autonomies” was dismissed by Vox as possible “by presiding at the Andalusian Autonomous Community” and considered “false”.

Based on data such “19 mayors, councillors who are in government”, the candidate appealed to his party’s strength, to reference the example of Germany where “the liberals vanished and are now governing in Germany four-years later”.

Andalusian vice-president has referred to March 13, 2020 as the worst moment in the legislature. This was when Jesus (Aguirre), and I had to go out to inform the Andalusians they had to stay home.” He has also pointed out June 19 as the best because Citizens has not made any mistakes.

Marin stated that he wants the best for Andalusia. He said that he does not want to become a counselor or deputy. However, Marin said that despite the negative electoral outcome, his party did not have to promise anything. Instead, Marin appealed to “what we have done”.

He has maintained that the PP-Cs government had an impact on Andalusia. He has used the phrase Alfonso Guerra has used to assert that “it’s a completely new one”.

Marin has stood by the loyalty of his party and suggested that he could have “moved of censure with Juan Espadas” or Juanma Moreno. He then argued that with the PSOE Ciudadanos, he had 54 deputies.

Marin said that “If I had done Andalusia it wouldn’t be where it is now.” He has maintained that “we have kept to our word” and that “we have not needed to consider making it profitable”, but he refused to agree with the PSOE because “I am not going down with a political party with a candidate who won’t claim a single Euro from a government in Madrid.

Concerning Teresa Rodriguez’s presence at the Adelante Andalucia debates, he declared himself “delighted they are all”, a reference towards the Vox candidate of whom he said he was “delighted” with the fight between them because “they are going leave me aside”.
