A car has run over a crowd on a street in West Berlin on Wednesday killing one person, according to the German newspaper Bild.
The Berlin fire department has not confirmed any deaths so far, but some thirty people have been injured in the incident.
It took place on Ranestrasse, near Breitscheidplatz, the main shopping district, scene of the 2016 Berlin Christmas market attack in which 11 people were killed.
According to Bild, the driver of the Renault Twingo, the vehicle with which he has run over the crowd, has been arrested. The Berlin police are investigating the reasons for the incident.
