There are already nearly 40,000 people, most of them schoolchildren, who have been able to enjoy the ‘escape room’ ‘El Tesoro de Don Quixote’ as it passes through different towns in the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real, as reported this Wednesday the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Rosa Ana Rodríguez, at the inauguration of this activity in Toledo, in the Polígono neighborhood, which will remain until this coming Saturday the 11th.

She was accompanied at the event by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, Ana Muñoz; the delegates of the Community and Education Board in Toledo, Javier Úbeda and José Gutiérrez; the vice president of the Toledo Provincial Council, Ana Gómez; the Councilor for Culture of Toledo, Teo García, and the president of the ‘Impulsa’ Foundation, Gabriel González.

There will be six Toledo towns through which this activity will pass, which is part of the more than 300 that have been scheduled to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the approval of the Statute of Autonomy of Castilla-La Mancha. Thus, after Toledo, the ‘escape room’ will reach Talavera de la Reina, Fuensalida, Illescas, Seseña and Madridejos. Later, it will stop in the province of Guadalajara and Cuenca, concluding at the beginning of October in San Clemente.

Rodríguez pointed out that ‘The Treasure of Don Quixote’ intends, through games of ingenuity, to stimulate in visitors the interest and knowledge of both our rich heritage and the important evolution that the region has experienced in the last 40 years.

The head of Education, Culture and Sports has encouraged everyone to participate in these activities, which she has indicated will be a shock to a neighborhood with a large number of young people such as Santa María de Benquerencia, for Toledo and for all those municipalities where they develop

The ‘escape room’ The treasure of Don Quixote, with a duration of 50 minutes and a maximum of 10 participants per group, will remain installed in the Polígono fairgrounds until Saturday June 11 with the aim of publicizing, in a fun and different way, the great treasures that the region has through an adventure game in which there will be both physical and mental tests, offering participants entertaining information on stories, emblematic places and different aspects and curiosities of the autonomous community.

It will also serve to show the important evolution that the region has experienced in the last 40 years. The activity is open to the general public and to the students of the educational centers of the city, who participate in a concerted manner in the morning. The rest may attend prior registration in the afternoon, Thursday and Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free registration can be made by calling or WhatsApp to the number 686178377, or directly at the activity counter.
