A 23-year-old man drowned this Saturday in the Navacerrada reservoir, in the Sierra de Madrid, as reported by Emergencies 112 Community of Madrid.
The deceased was around 11:45 p.m. with four other boys on one of the banks of the reservoir. The young man has entered the water and submerged himself, until shortly after his companions have stopped seeing him.
A few minutes later, a crew from the Special Height Rescue Group of the Fire Department (GERA) of the Community of Madrid rescued the man three meters from the shore and began resuscitation work, which SUMMA112 then continued for an hour , although without success.
Confirmed the death, a psychologist from SUMMA 112 has moved to the area to offer support to colleagues.
