The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will return this Monday to the barrier of 200 euros/MWh, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE) and collected by Europa Press.

Specifically, the average price of electricity this Monday will be 200.62 euros/MWh, which is 20% more than the price of this Sunday (167.06 euros/MWh), while compared to Monday last week will rise 5 euros/MWh.

The maximum price of electricity on this June 13 will be recorded between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with €0.36315/kWh, while the minimum for the day, of €0.20815/kWh, will occur between 03:00 and 04:00 a.m. .

Compared to a year ago, the average price of electricity for this Monday will be 153.31% more expensive than the 79.20 euros/MWh of June 13, 2021.

The prices of the ‘pool’ have a direct impact on the regulated rate –the so-called PVPC–, to which almost 11 million households in the country are covered, and serve as a reference for the other 17 million who have contracted their supply in the free market.
