The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has signed agreements with 11 municipalities in the province of Toledo to keep school canteens open during the non-school period this summer. “Some agreements that will allow the use of the school canteen service at noon to almost 900 students.”
This has been pointed out by the provincial delegate for Education, Culture and Sports, José Gutiérrez, who has stressed that “people are the central axis of the policies of the Government chaired by Emiliano García-Page, which is why, in collaboration with the city councils, we are providing a quality service and attention to students who need it, either for reasons of reconciling work and family life, or for social reasons».
In total, so far there are 860 students who can benefit from this service during the summer in the province, of which 580 will be able to attend the dining rooms with the 100% subsidized menu; while there will be 280 who are entitled to a scholarship of fifty percent.
Gutiérrez recalled that, as in recent years, the agreements have two distribution modalities: one in person and another in which families can pick up the menu at a delivery point.
