Renfe starts next July 1, and until August 31, the new season of the Beach Trains that bring the citizens of Castilla y León closer to the beaches of Gijón, Santander and San Sebastián. The proposal includes a round-trip journey on the day to make the most of the beach day at reduced prices.
As reported by Renfe in a statement, the Beach Train that serves the citizens of Valladolid and Palencia is operational on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to bring them closer to the beaches of Santander, starting the new season on Saturday, July 2. The departure from Valladolid takes place at 7.45. on a train that passes through Palencia at 8.22 and arrives in Santander at 11.25.
The return trip is scheduled to leave the Santander capital at 8:20 p.m., arriving in Palencia at 11:23 p.m. and final destination in Valladolid at 11:59 p.m. Between August 15 and 28, this Beach Train will be affected by infrastructure works planned by Adif, for which Renfe has planned an alternative transport system by road so that the service is not interrupted.
The León-Gijón trip is made daily on a Regional train departing from the León station at 9:25 am and arriving in Gijón at 12:49 pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays the departure time from León moves a few minutes until 9:29, arriving in Gijón at 12:49. The Sanz Crespo terminal in Gijón has a pedestrian walkway that communicates directly with the Railway Museum and Poniente Beach.
The return trip is made on a train departing from the Gijón station at 8:25 p.m. and arriving in the capital of León at 11:48 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the departure time will also be at 8:25 p.m., and the scheduled arrival in León at 11:52 p.m.
From Miranda de Ebro, the Renfe Beach Train brings citizens closer to the Donostiarra coast on a train that leaves the Mirandez station daily at 8:25 a.m., passing through Vitoria at 8:57 a.m. and arriving in San Sebastián at 10:48 a.m. .
The return trip takes place daily except Saturdays on a train that leaves San Sebastián at 7:57 p.m., passing through Vitoria at 9:50 p.m. and arriving in Miranda de Ebro at 10:15 p.m. On Saturdays, in order to extend the day, the departure time from the San Sebastián station is at 8:40 p.m., with arrival in Vitoria at 10:29 p.m. and final destination in Miranda at 10:59 p.m.
