The 25-year-old missing person from Greven-Reckenfeld was found dead in a bush in Saerbeck around 4 a.m. on Tuesday morning. This is confirmed by the Münster police. Her 26-year-old neighbor is suspected of having killed her. The 25-year-old was reported missing on Monday after she was last seen on the Emsbrücke in Greven at around 2.40 a.m. early Sunday morning.
The police had previously set up a homicide squad. As part of the investigation, officials questioned the neighborhood and the circle of friends of the missing. The 26-year-old neighbor got caught up in contradictions. So he came into the focus of the investigators.
In the interrogation he then said that he had killed his 25-year-old neighbor and hidden it in a bush in Saerbeck. Emergency services found the body at the specified location. A murder commission at the Münster police continues to investigate the crime. “We have information that the 26-year-old suspect and his victim knew each other. The 25-year-old woman is said to have rejected the 26-year-old’s intentions to have a relationship,” says Homicide Commissioner Heiner Olthuis.
The 26-year-old suspect was arrested. The public prosecutor’s office will request an autopsy of the body. The investigations are ongoing.
