The encounter with two runaway horses on the country road near Straufhain (Hilburhausen district) went out to a taxi driver with sheet metal damage to the car. According to the police in Suhl, the animals escaped from a paddock on Wednesday morning and made their way on the road from Seidingstadt, which belongs to Straufenhain, to Völkershausen, a district of Heldburg, when the taxi came towards them. One of the frightened horses suddenly ran against the left side of the car, in which a passenger was also sitting. It is not known whether the animal was injured. After the collision, the horses fled. However, they were later captured. The damage to the car was around 5,000 euros.
