A 22-year-old died in a serious car accident in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district. A 41-year-old was seriously injured in the accident near Hitzacker on Wednesday afternoon, the police said on Thursday. According to the previous investigations, the young man had got into oncoming traffic with his car for initially unknown reasons. There he rammed the 41-year-old’s car head-on, both vehicles were thrown off the road. The 22-year-old died at the scene of the accident. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital. The police secured tracks and turned on a traffic expert.
