Manchester City have announced that Phil Foden has signed a new contract until 2027.

The 22-year-old has become a regular under Pep Guardiola in recent years and his form has been rewarded with a new contract.

Speaking to Man City’s website, Foden said: “It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to have signed this contract. It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a City fan all my life . I’ve trained here for so many years and even been a ball boy. I love this club so much and knowing that I’ll be a part of it until 2027 is an amazing feeling.”

According to the Times, Foden will earn around €230,000 a week from his new contract, making him one of the highest-paid young players in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old England international has already played 182 competitive games for the Cityzens, making 88 appearances in goals.
