The Motel One hotel chain achieved the best operating result in the company’s history in the third quarter. “The current reservation levels for the coming months are an indicator that the good business trend will continue in the fourth quarter,” the company announced today in Munich.

After all corona restrictions were lifted, business stabilized. The occupancy rate from July to September reached the 2019 level at 77 percent and the quarterly turnover rose to a record value of 202 million euros. Operating profit (Ebitda) was 71 million euros, 48 ​​percent higher than in the same period in 2019 – and after taxes remained a profit of 39 million euros.

Motel One currently operates 85 hotels with more than 24,000 rooms in Europe. Five more hotels are to be added by the end of the year, including the first hotel in the USA. In the Corona years 2020 and 2021, the company made a total loss of more than 100 million euros and received high government aid.
